Tybee Island 7/12/14-7/13/14

I went birding on Tybee Island a couple of weeks ago. Highlights included Gray Kingbird, a Cooper’s Hawk, a Mississippi Kite and two American Oystercatchers in a fenced off nesting area.

North Beach 7/12/14:

Snowy Egret  1     Foraging.
American Oystercatcher  2     One seen resting inside fenced off nesting area.

Gray Kingbird  4     Seen and heard. Adult seen flycatching.

North Beach 7/13/14:

American Oystercatcher  2     Seen in the fenced off nesting area on the beach. The juvenile individual was banded with one red HH (the second H underlined) band on each leg.
